Posted by SS Admin on October 10, 2017 in Business |

Michael Lacey, a prominent mathematician from the United States, is known for introducing many theorems and solving multiple problems that were puzzles for mathematicians for decades.

Mike is one of the most followed mathematicians in today’s world considering his contributions in shaping many major sections of mathematics. With decades of study and research in various branches of mathematics, Lacey can take a command in the whole mathematics studies with his deep expertise. He is credited for the area of probability thesis in Banach spaces.

Incidentally, Michael Lacey also solved a problem in relating to the law of the iterated logarithm details its empirical characteristic functions. Lacey’s researches in multiple branches of mathematics, and that helped him to have a comprehensive look at various mathematics problems in order to solve many of them.

It should be noted that his works are mainly on the branches of harmonic analysis, ergodic theory, and areas of probability. National Science Foundation has supported most of the researches done by Michael Lacey and played a crucial role in helping to advance his research fields.

Interestingly, he also received support from the Simons Foundation, the Fulbright Foundation, Guggenheim Foundation, the Salem Prize, and a number of mathematics research institutes around the world.

It should be noted that he has published more than 70 research papers, reviews, articles, and more, as of today. One of the most prominent papers include “A note based on the central limit theorem” collaborating with Walter Philipp and provided proof for that. Later, he also provided proof for “almost sure non-central limit theorems.”Learn more about Mike Lacey: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=CVXnps0AAAAJ&hl=en

Lacey was also a research guide and mentor to many doctoral students in extensive fields of mathematics. The researchers around the world consult with him regarding the research methodologies and applicability of various mathematical theorems. His students applause his capability to explain complex theorems in a manner that can be understood by everyone in a large group.

Lacey started his career with Louisiana State University as an assistant professor in the year 1987. In the later years, he collaborated with Indiana University, University of North Carolina, and Georgia Institute of Technology in full-time academic roles.

Currently, he works as the Full-time Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Apart from that, Lacey is also a visiting professor at many universities and mathematics institutes around the world. Read more: Michael Lacey | Wikipedia

Michael Lacey received multiple recognitions and fellowships from various institutes around the world, including NSF-ADVANCE Mentoring Award from Georgia Tech, NSF Postdoctoral Fellow, and more.

Additionally, he received multiple grants including Australian Research Council Grant, NSF individual grant, NSF High Impact Award, Conference Grant for CRM program, and more. Lacey became a fellow of the renowned American Mathematical Society in the year 2012. He was also part of the editorial boards of Journal of Geometric Analysis and Harmonic Analysis – American Mathematical Society.

Lacey was also part of various administrative committees in Georgia Institute of Technology, including Undergraduate Committee, Senior Promotion and Tenure, Hiring Committee, and more. He completed his Ph.D. from the Urbana-Champaign campus of the University of Illinois in the year 1987.
